Pacific Regional Visitor Center
Created for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Honolulu, Hawaii, the Henley Company provided interpretive planning and writing of the Corps’ Programmatic Interpretive Plan for the Pacific Regional Visitor Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. We organized and led a two-day visioning and planning session. During the session, we reviewed planning framework, existing conditions, and current and projected audience demographics. We also surveyed the Visitor Center staff regarding visitor patterns, staff needs, and recommendations. We then worked closely with the staff to develop interpretive and programmatic recommendations, including outreach recommendations, an operational and management plan, and suggested actions and objectives over a five-year plan.
